Equine  Water Treadmills are a great way to enhance suppleness,  stride length,  increase cardio-vascular fitness and help build muscle  tone, core  strength and overall well being.

The  AquaPacer equine underwater  treadmill system was developed to help  equine athletes of all  disciplines, achieve peak performance. The  AquaPacer workout is  unparalleled for therapeutic healing and  conditioning.  

Working  on the water treadmill is not only a great complement to a  horse’s  training plan but also an excellent rehabilitation method in   post-injury situations as it allows the exercise of specific muscle  groups,  tendons and joints without the full weight of the animal and  without the  additional burden of the rider. 

The  treadmill gives the horse a highly effective full body workout;  improving  general fitness, joint flexion and respiration. Depending on  water  level, the buoyancy of the water reduces concussion and impact on  the  lower limbs, and encourages an increased range of motion. The high   resistance of the water leads to increased muscle activity, and the   water pressure helps to reduce swelling, stimulate circulation of the   lower limbs and the cold water helps to reduce any pain present.

The  height of the water can be adapted to the individual horse. Deeper  water encourages a longer stride length, with a  decreased stride  frequency which results in increased back extension  and flexion.

With 50 W of Super Pulsed Laser power, ACTIVet PRO provides more power and faster treatment times without raising skin temperature, making it the safest high powered laser on the market. The blue LED light accelerates wound repair and reduces bacteria in wounds, providing your pet with a safe, fast and drug-free recovery. An increase in power can shorten treatment times and provide powerful pain relief. However, unlike high powered Class IV lasers, the ACTIVet PRO increases power without the unwanted photo-thermal effect, avoiding the production of excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can lead to photocytotoxicity and apoptosis. Laser, like ultrasound, at low levels, can stimulate while at higher levels it becomes destructive.

The synchronous use of high power super pulsed laser, and ultra-bright infrared, red and blue LEDs optimizes the biological effects of the entire photo-therapeutic window to accelerate healing and reduce pain.

  The solarium can help improve your horse's performance and condition. The heat energy penetrates the skin into the underlying muscle and helps stimulate blood circulation, this improves muscle elasticity, therefore helping recovery from reduction of injuries. The generated heat increases the rate in which the muscles can absorb blood sugars and expel lactic acids.

A pre-exercise warm up under the solarium for horses will relax muscles and improve training performance by increasing blood circulation. A Solarium can  help your horse to recover quicker after exercise as the stimulated circulation allows the muscles to absorb blood sugars more quickly and speeds up the elimination of waste products from them.

Our newest addition is the Equi-Ciser free flow horse exerciser. The Equi-Ciser allows horses to move freely between a  set of gates that travel inside a circular fenced track. This  allows them to move naturally as they would in a paddock or on a lunge  line, but at a specified pace chosen to the horse's needs.  The speed and direction of the travel is fully customizable allowing the horse's to get a balanced and customized work out.  

The Equi-Ciser is excellent for conditioning performance horses or rehabilitating injuries.  Being able to control the speed, direction of travel and length the session allows for the control facts needed to bring horses back from injury or push them to the next level of competition. Core strengthening aids such as the passoa and equiband are another tool we can use with the Equi-Ciser to build a strong topline. 

We try to utilize the Equi-Ciser throughout the entire year, however it is subject to weather conditions.   It is a valuable asset to our program, so the work it takes to keep it operational as many days of the year as possible is worth it. Extensive ground work is done throughout the year to ensure horses have the best footing possible.  Before winter we add in new sand and salt the Equi-Ciser to keep the ground from freezing and allow us to work it whenever we need.
